MIRISSA WHALE WATCHING DAY TOUR
Just a quick 2 hour drive along the expressway will take you to the stunning beaches of Mirissa, where a boat awaits to whisk you away on an exciting 5 hour whale watching safari. Enjoy a picnic breakfast on board as you watch for the majestic blue whales to breach and take your breath away. The sheer scale of the gentle creatures can be quite astonishing and can make for some really great holiday pictures.
Afterwards, head back to shore for a sumptuous lunch at a recommended restaurant on the palm fringed Mirissa beach before heading back to Colombo.
Day’s Highlights
- Pick up from Colombo hotel and transfer to Mirissa
- Head out at 6:30 AM in search of Blue Whales return to shore by noon

Tour package Includes
- What to wear or bring along , light clothing, a cap, sunscreem and your camera, sea sickness tablets to be taken 1.5 hours ahead of time.
- Depending on the weather, the ride can be a little bumpy. Take anti-sickness tablets ahead of time. For protocol reasons you are compelled to wear a life jacket as you leave the harbour.
- The duration of the transfers is approximate and will depend on the time of day and traffic conditions
- A current valid passport is required on the day of travel.
- The tour is subject to favorable weather conditions. If cancelled due to poor weather, you will be given the option of an alternative date.

Payment Policy
Please note we require 30% of the payment on confirmation with the balance settled 15 days prior to arrival, or full payment can be settled on confirmation.

Cancellation Policy
Any cancellation should be notified in writing, 10 days prior to the arrival date, 40% would be charged , for cancellations made within 7 days , and for ‘No Shows 100 % would be charge.
