The glory of Sri Lanka’s western peninsula is adorned by the beautiful coast of Kalpitiya, which lies 130km north of Bandaranaike International Airport. Nestled between the deep lagoon of Puttalam to the east and the magnificent Indian Ocean, the City has a plethora of things to see and indulge in; stemming from a magnificent marine sanctuary with a diversity of habitats ranging from bar reefs, flat coastal plains, saltpans, mangrove swamps, salt marshes and vast sand dune beaches, the locale is a haven for fishing, surfing, kiting and sheer relaxation. Kalpitiya is believed to have been a pivotal trading hub and was christened ‘the island of Cardiva’ by the Portuguese long ago.
You can experience flat-water, waves and lagoon winds that averages around 18-20 knots during our Summer Season: May to October. On the other hand, in Winter Season (with temperatures remaining yet around 26 Degrees): December to March you can experience afternoon winds. This also makes it a great time to dwell on the Dolphin watching and Diving.
DAY 01 - AIRPORT – KALPITIYA
Upon your arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport pre requested location in Colombo closer to the airport, you will be met by our English speaking chauffer guide and be escorted to Kalpitiya. Upon checking-in to one of our handpicked resorts, you can later enjoy a colourful tour of Kalpitiya and relax in the hotel or amidst the golden beach in the evening.

DAY 02 - KALPITIYA – CITY TOUR & LOCAL LIKE STYLE
On this day, the Captain may anchor close to Vella Island, Portugal bay and other secluded beaches to offer you the best experience in Sri Lankan kite surfing.
After the energetic excursion, opt for some well earned good quality leisure time or further explore Kalpitiya, the untouched retreat for tourism in Puttalam District which has a diverse lifestyle lead by fishing. Your evening can be spent at your own leisure.

DAY 03 - KALPITYA – ANURADHAPURA - KALPITYA
This day too you would invite you on an ever memorable kiting excursion or if you wish you may set out on a half day excursion to Anuradhapura, one of the largest archaeological sites in the world and is the key ancient centre point in Sri Lanka, well known for its ruins depicting early Sri Lankan civilization.
Anuradhapura was earlier the capital of the Island. The city is now named as a world heritage site by UNESCO and is home to the tallest brick-built stupas of the ancient world, Ruvanvalisaya, Abhayagiri and Jetawana dagabas. Return to Kalpitiya and enjoy a long hours of sheer relaxation at your hotel for the rest of the evening.

DAY 04 - KALIPTIYA - WILPATTU - KALPITIYA
After an invigorating breakfast, you may dwell on another round of excitement through kite surfing with the kind coordination and guidance from the experienced Captain.
After kite surfing, tread on a half day nature based adventure to the island’s largest National Park, Willpattu which is also Sri Lanka’s oldest park. Wilpattu offers travellers the chance to get up-close-and-personal with Sri Lanka’s wildlife: from leopards, elephants, sloth bear and deer as well as migrant and endemic birds, and enjoy the spectacular scenery of lakes, jungle and the stunning coastal border. Return to Kalpitiya and enjoy the late evening at your leisure.

DAY 05 - KALPITIYA – DOLPHIN WATCHING
The day will open up beckoning you for another remarkable round of kite surfing amidst the Eastern Winds. After the kite surf you either relax at the hotel or beach or go on a trail of Dolphin watching, which commences early at 0700 hrs for which the most upbeat and best period with calm waters is from November to March. Pamper your sights with hundreds to thousands of dolphins in large pods within ½ hour upon the shore. Return to Kalpitiya and enjoy the late evening at your leisure.

DAY 06 - KALPITIYA – FISHING
The day would open up again with an optimistic escapade into the very best in kite surfing along the beautiful coasts or the day would be spent with a lot of free time and relaxation amidst the winds, sights and sounds of the Kalpitiya beach or within the adobe of your resort.

DAY 07 - KALPITIYA – KITE SURFING
On this 7th day of your memorable tour, you may embark on your kite surfing expedition and after the kite surf you can revive your senses through relaxation at the hotel.

DAY 08 - KALPITIYA – LAGOON TOUR
The morning would open up with the choice in dwelling into another venture of beautiful kite surfing or you can spend the rest of the day with free time at the hotel and also pamper your senses.

DAY 09 - KALPITIYA – SCUBA DIVING / WATER SKIING
The very best of kite surfing would be on offer on this day too Upon finishing the kite surfing adventure, you can stay at the hotel at leisure or you can opt for other excursions which is available in Kalpitiya ranging from fishing, the lagoon tour in Kalpitiya etc.
The rest of the day can be spent with free time at the hotel.

DAY 10 - KALPITIYA – PUTTALAM / CHILAW - NEGOMBO
Upon a delicious breakfast at the hotel, you would be escorted to Negombo, and en-route witness the growing cities of Puttalam and Chilaw whilst you have the option to break for lunch and enjoy some of the authentic spicy Sri Lankan delicacies amidst the traditional fishing villages that crown the coastal city of Negombo. Known as the gourmet’s paradise with the most delectable and fresh seafood varieties, Negombo is located to the north of Colombo. You can also enjoy the sights of the old school fishing craft like the outrigger canoe, catamaran bring seer, skipjack, herring and mullet, pomfret & amber jack, along with lobsters & prawns.

DAY 11 - NEGOMBO – CITY TOUR
Start this day with an enjoyable visit to the local fish market of Negombo, which is the biggest in fresh fish and seafood varieties and also witness the Hamilton Canal, Dutch Fort Negombo, Angurukaramulla Temple, Negombo Beach park and the most popular St. Mary’s church.
Afterwards return to your hotel to splurge in the pool and enjoy the day amidst the wide stretching sand dunes of the Negombo beach with your favourite cocktail and also take part in other sun, sand and surf activities.

DAY 12 - NEGOMBO - AIRPORT
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Bandaranaike International Airport for your departure flight.

Please note we require 30% of the payment on confirmation with the balance settled 15 days prior to arrival, or full payment can be settled on confirmation.
